At Kathgodam Taxi Service, we follow a transparent and fair refund and cancellation policy to ensure a smooth experience for every customer. Below you can review our advance payment terms, cancellation charges, and refund timelines.
Refund & Cancellation Policy

Kathgodam Taxi Service is an online taxi booking assistance platform. To confirm a taxi booking, we collect a 25% advance from customers on behalf of the assigned taxi operator. The remaining amount is paid to the driver as agreed between customer and operator.
1. Advance Payment Policy
- A 25% advance is required to confirm any taxi booking.
- The advance blocks the vehicle and schedules the driver for your selected date & time.
- The remaining 75% is paid directly to the driver at the start or end of the trip (as mutually agreed).
2. Cancellation by Customer
- Within 24 hours of travel: Advance is non-refundable.
- 2–5 days before travel: 50% of the advance is refunded (i.e., 50% cancellation charge applies).
- More than 5 days before travel: Full advance refund (100%) — payment gateway charges may apply.
3. Cancellation by Taxi Operator
If a confirmed booking is cancelled due to driver emergency, vehicle breakdown, or unavoidable operational issues:
- You will receive a 100% refund of the advance, or
- You may choose another taxi of similar category if available.
4. No-Show Policy
If the customer is unreachable or not present at pickup location for the agreed time, the booking will be marked as No-Show and the advance will be forfeited. Drivers are allowed a waiting time of 45 minutes.
5. Refund Processing & Mode
- Refunds are processed within 3–7 business days after approval.
- Refunds are issued to the same payment method used to pay the advance (UPI / Bank Transfer / Card / Wallet / Netbanking).
- Payment gateway charges (if any) may be deducted from refundable amounts.
6. Additional Charges
Any additional charges such as tolls, parking, entry fees, extra kilometres, or extra hours are payable directly to the driver unless otherwise specified in the booking confirmation.
7. Our Role & Limitations
Kathgodam Taxi Service acts only as a booking coordinator and lead-generation platform. We do not own taxis or employ drivers. While we process advances to confirm bookings, the taxi operator is responsible for trip fulfilment, vehicle condition, and driver behaviour. Any disputes regarding trip execution, additional charges, or refunds should be first raised with the taxi operator. We will assist as an intermediary where possible.
8. Dispute Resolution
If you have any issues with a booking, contact us at the email below. We will coordinate with the taxi operator to resolve the matter. In case of unresolved disputes, the matter may be escalated through legal channels as per applicable laws.
